I got to play with the squirt at a local knife store, and I must say, it does look like a vast improvement on the Micra (not that I don't love my micra). It's a little shorter, but it looked like it was a little thicker than the Micra. The tweezers and knife blade both looked much better than the Micra. I'll sure that at some point I will get one, maybe as a stocking stuffer at Christmas.

-Chris

-Chris

Cap lifter: another name for a bottle opener. It prys the cap off of a glass bottle.

Come to think of it, other than beer bottles, I really haven't seen this kind of bottle cap much in recent years.

That's true too i my part of the world. Everything comes in twist off or cans these days. They should actually include a combination can opener/bottle opener.

The only bottles with caps which need opening are beer and stout bottles.......(and I don' t drink too.....) but I suppose if you do a lot of travelling, some of the countries here in South East Asia (e.g. thailand, malaysia etc) still have caps on their soft drink bottles.....

Got my Glacier Squirt P4 today which I ordered in May. Nice finish, well engineered. Its' almost a 1/2 shorter then the Micra, but a touch wider, considerably thicker and heavier: so it's a wash. Love the ability to depoy all but one tool without opening the Squirt body. I'm going to order a bunch of P4's and S4's for Christmas gifts.

The Micra will yield its position on my keychain, to be replaced by my Squirt, and go into my emergency kit, where the slow tool deployment isn't a liability.
