My dog loves to ride in the car and will wait for me with the doors open...as long as I'm in sight. When I walk around the corner, she jumps out and follows me. If I tell her to stay, she does (for a while).

What I was leading up to that the dog staying suggested to me that whatever happened and whoever was involved, it was someone with a degree of control over the dog.

In France, we recently had two guys who killed their kids :
- in one case, he did this after killing s.o. else
- in another case, he just killed them, for no apparent reason except he was about to divorce or had just divorced ...
