i dont know about the fox 40, but the para cord the say is real isnt. its a cheap nylon casing with 3 plastic like braided cords inside it<br>hope this helps

While it does look like the Fox 40, I wouldn't chance it if their para cord isn't real either. the Fox 40 is very easy to find at outdoor stores, I think you'd be better off just picking one up there. Great whistle, in my opinion. <br><br>Chris.

The Fox looks authentic to me. It's either authentic or a very good copy. I'd say it's real to about 95% certainty. <br><br>The paracord is hard to ID without cutting it and examining the strands, so the picture is not much help, but it certainly looks like it could be authentic. From the picture, I can barely make out the label which I think says "550 lb. test strength," but I can't really make it out for sure. If that is what it actually says and the claim is true, then it is authentic. The fake stuff has lower test strength.<br><br>
