I'm not surprised, and I've built those kinds of things. If I was sitting at a scanner and I saw home made electronics, buttons would be pressed.

*sighs*

Paranoia, AFAIK it's the only form of mental illness that is contagious. No one get too close- I think I've got it. shocked

What does this week old story, widely publicized on TV, Radio, Newspapers, and News Magazines have to do with The Survival Forum?

It keeps those of us who are frequent (or even infrequent) flyers aware of what EDC survival equipment we are able to take with us. It is nice to know that I'll be able to take along my Zippo or any other butane flame (non-torch) lighter with me when I fly.

In spite of the wide publicity of this move by the TSA, this posting was the first I heard of it. I appreciate it being posted.

A week old story? The TSA announced this change in carry-on regulations on Friday, July 20th. That's yesterday.

This was the first place I heard of it as well. And we spend enough time kicking the TSA around like an empty can that when they wake up, we should mention it. We just shouldn't say "told you so".

Even if we did predict it.

Got up on the wrong side of the bed did ya? Given the number of threads/posts here re what can be carried on an airliner, I would have to say that it has everything to do with the Survival Forum...

It's also the first I'd heard of now allowing screw drivers and pointed scissors (under four inches) on planes..yipes!
