Actually, I don't know. But there must be good reasons. Kochanski has the experience I don't have but anyway, I do think it's a nice idea and seems easier to carry than a folding prunning saw or a rather heavy chain saw blade. And when in the cold weather, you want a saw that gets the job done quickly...

It was suggested to use a webbing belt - I just saw one the other day. Purchase the webbing from a climbing store and add Fastec buckles, insert the blade before sealing the end with heat.

I am glad to hear that he cheated!

I made a busksaw to his intructions 2 weeks ago but cheated on the slots for the blade using another saw as well since I feared splitting the wood
