First - Thank You Doug for the honor of being selected

Now - a bit about me - First - my "real" name is Charlie

I have been a member of ETS since August of 2003, with my main interests being Ham Radio (I am the Queens County NY Asst Emergency Coordinator of ARES, Ex Emergency Coordinator), a hunter (when I get the chance - used to be more active), and currently, my main interest in survival - Urban survival, mostly in the "Get Home Bag" and EDC carry arena.

The idea I proposted to Doug and Marty for the forum was on Urban Survival, with a lot about

"How do you deal with another 9/11? Or on a smaller how do you deal with the DC Metro crash of what, 3 weeks ago? (I'm quite sure getting home for a lot of people was 'fun' that day). How do you get home when the Long Island Rail Road isn't running because it's snowing? To be honest, a lot of this isn't "Oh My, we're gonna die!" but is "Oh, No, I'm in for 1-3 days of misery, that could get nasty"

Pull up a chair - or sit down on the curb or stoop (stairs - depends on your regional dialect) and have fun
