I recently upgraded to the latest Firefox.

It used to be that if I wanted to bookmark a site, it gave me the option of putting it into a folder, as "Preparedness", with all those links in one place.

Now, I don't see that option, so everything is going into the main collection, which is a real nuisance.

Is there an easy fix here, for the electronically-handicapped?

I am using Firefox 3.05 and when I click Bookmark This Page (or press Ctrl D), I get a dialog that allows me to choose the folder and add tags.

I'm also on Firefox 3.0.5. When I bookmark a page I get a small dialog box which says "Page Bookmarked" at the top, and there are a couple down arrow to the lower right. Click on the upper and you get all your bookmark folders. Play with it, it's all there.

I just went looking. I have the new Firefox but usually use IE8.

So for Firefox this seems to be the procedure.
You open the bookmarks tab and click Organize Bookmarks.
Then you have to click on an existing folder, click organize folders again and now it will let you create a new folder.and fill it up.

Them when you bookmark a new page you can use the options on the pop-up to direct it to that folder too.

They also included a way to add keywords to your bookmarks so you can just type the keyword and it will bring up those bookmarks with it attached

Okay, thanks, I finally found it.

The magic phrase was "double-click on Bookmarks Menu".

If you have the Bookmarks displayed along the side of your screen you can just drag the bookmark from the URL line (the top entry line, drag icon just to the left) to the folder you want.
