Has anybody here actually started a fire with a gun? All kinds of survival manuals feature this method, but I was just watching an old Mythbuster's episode where they test it. They finally get it to work with a musket but not with any modern firearm. While its not something I would be keen to try, I am curious if any one here has.

Well on a episode of survivor man,Les had a rifle and i think he took some gun powder out of the bullet and shot some pieces of wood,after a dozen times he finally got a fire going.

im not sure exactly how it went cause its been awhile since i seen it.
