I've read on this site that the alternative to using the original bottle the tablets come in is to use a glass bottle with a teflon cap. I picked up an all stainless steel pill bottle at the local store, the ones designed for nitroglycerin, aspririn, etc. I was wondering if this would be adequate to store the tablets in. I know the stainless steel bottle is about the same size as the Potable Aqua bottle, but the stainless one can be hung around the neck with other items.
Any alternatives, or would stainless suffice?

the reason why glass with PTFE caps where named, is because they are few of the availible materials which will not be effected by iodine. Metal will be effected. Repacking the tablets also reduce the selflife.

Yup, plus keeping them inside a metal container close to your body (like on a neck lanyard) means the tablets will be affected by your body temperature. Not sure whether it's a big deal in your case but most meds and pills should not be stored above room temperature.
