It it a strange way to start this post but......purchase a tube of the mini M & M's. They come in various colors. I only have a yellow one and it works great. I plan on getting other colors.

Anyway...after eating the M & M's and cleaning the tube....take a mini mag flashlight and put the tube over the top of the light. Without anything else, the maglight will slip into the tube about halfway but when you turn the light on it puts out some pretty impressive area light.

For those of you who have a mini mag...it is a really nice option. I have the nite eze LED drop in in my mini mag and it puts out a very usable light very comparable to cyalume lightsitcks except that you can turn it off and on like the krill. An that light output is with batteries that I'm getting ready to change. I can't wait to try it with new batteries. I've used it a a makeshift night light for my youngest.

Clear or white 35mm film containers also work very well.
