Yes a Bic lighter and the same problem with the Iodine check your PSK’s And FAK’s regularly! Most likely moisture trapped in tin when you sealed it up corroded it... I keep a Ferro Rod that has been sealed with clear Nail polish {you can use varnish or polyurethane} just as long as it is transparent so you can see any change’s to the Rod
