I dont understand the self-imposed starvation that goes with not taking netting, a .22lr autorifle (with 2x7 scope in a see thru mount and dayglo luminous paint on the iron sights, some premade cable-snares and leg-hold steeltraps and a lot of netting. When you've got that gear, you will be eating a LOT more often and a lot more per meal, too. I'll take such "feed me" gear over a whole lot of the gear that those guys take. You can have the large, heavy, very expensive air/bow, rods/reels, regular bow,etc. If I could not take a takedown Marlin Papoose .22 autorifle, I'd take a slingbow, with 3 pc takedown arrows from Dave Canterbury and a take down .177 pellet rifle. If they had to WALK 15 miles per day, with all that stuff, they'd soon dump half of it!
