I have been trying to find a readily available LOCAL source of food grade 5 gallon buckets and Gamma Seal lids.

I have finally had some success.

Lowes carries food grade buckets (about a dollar more expensive).

Home Depot started carrying Gamma Seal lids (I found out from the sales floor rep that this started about 3 months ago).
