Hmm, how about something extremely cheap and replaceable like a 1-lb coffee can with a wire bail? People have used those for years and Ron Hood uses them exclusively in his videos.

I've got a GSI double boiler kit ($25) that has a 1.1 litre and .5 litre hard anodized containers that I bought years ago (and I personally can't stand the Sierra cup because it cools off almost as quick as it heats up!) I've added my homemade alcohol burner/solid fuel burner, pot stand, windscreen and a folding spork. Now I'm looking for a better alcohol container than a 500 ml plastic bottle.
