I have recently acquired a free-power radio that has a power generator on it, which you wind for 2 minutes to get 1 hour of listening.<br><br>It is a little bit bulky for daily carry but I think it is a good item for keeping in the vehicle or BO kit. It uses 2 recharble AAA batteries which can be removed with some afford. It can also be run with 2 AA size batteries simply by flicking a switch.<br><br>Anyone used something similar? We use one at home in the bathroom. I make the kids wind it up if they want to listen to music while doing their hair etc. It has worked fine. We also have one that has the added feature of a small solar panel; we use this one in the yard while doing yard work. Pete

I have a Grundig that I use when washing the car, fishing, listening to the game, etc. Works great, I think it's Grundig model FR200?

The solar panel is nice to have. Does it charge the battery in the radio?? <br><br>It seems like I will stick on with mine and keep it in my camper.
