Neat thread! I use a heavy duty biner thingy made for boating. Holds two sets of keys and a Leatherman Micra on my belt. I've tried clips, but just don't trust them - its gotta stay on my belt.

An off topic reminder - BEWARE of heavy sets of keys -- they can cause expensive damage to ignition switches on steering columns. It can sometimes take years but WILL cause it. Know a guy who did it twice and finally learned his lesson, one costing $700-$800.

You know, I have always heard that. But, I have always carried a lot of keys, my ex still has a '75 Toyota P/U that we bought new, I drove it over 15 years on a daily basis, and the ignition switch still works fine. I drove an '89 Ford P/U for over ten years, same thing. Still have a '98 Nissan P/U...

I won't say it can't happen, it has just never happened to me...

Another vote for the Maxpedition Keyper . I've been using the same one daily for over a year, and it'd holding up GREAT.

It keeps my keychain tools- including, but not limited to: Atwood whistle, TnC AAA flashlight, Sliver Grippers, Magnesium rod, pill capsule, and sometimes a Spyderco Jester- from falling to the bottom of my pocket. Sometimes some keys too <img src="/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
