Does anybody know the name of the sea survival book refered to in the Ray Mears extreme survival episode featuring the chap who was drifting at sea in the atlantic for 3 months? Many thanks
Not sure if this the same one, but a really good one is "Adrift" by Steven Callahan. Another good one is "Survive the Savage Sea" by Dugal Robertson, and "Endurance" by Alfred Lansing which is the account of Shackleton's voyage.

Is "Adrift" the one about the group of guys in the tri-hulled cat that rolled it over off of the coast of Austrailia (or maybe New Zealand, it has been a while since I read it), and drifted around for months and months??? If so, it was indeed interesting...
No not the same one. In Adrift Steven is solo sailing and gets attacked and sunk by a whale (he believes) in the middle of the night. It's a page turner, you wont be able to put it down. It's survival at its purest....
Could it be "Survuve the Savage Sea" by Dugal Robertson?
Amazon's description: "After their 43-foot schooner was stove in by a pod of killer whales, the six members of the Robertson family spent 37 days adrift in the Pacific. With no maps, compass, or navigational instruments, and rations for only three days, they used every survival technique they could as they battled 20-foot waves, marauding sharks, thirst, starvation, and exhaustion.
From their site: "The true adventure story of the Robertson family's fight to survive for 38 days aboard their small dinghy in the Pacific ocean, battling storms, hunger, thirst, danger and death, after their yacht sank in sixty seconds following an attack by killer whales."
