I know you all have a adventure medical kit's pocket survival pack by doug ritter dont you?
if you do have you added anything to the already great pack?
had any personal experience with it?or ever had to use it?

i added some wind waterproof matches
4 katadlyn water purification tabs(trimmend down for size
4 benadryl allergys(trimmed down for size)- effective for bites and for my horrible allergies. ugh
tiny jigsaw blade(very effective for cutting)
couple butterfly closures, water proof bandaid and tiny iodine
pad.
and small blade
it may sound like alot but it hardly takes up any room and still keeps it thin. makes a great kti even better in my opinion.

on a side note: Ive always thought that Doug Ritter should make a medium size kit for urban, sea, wilderness, cold, conditions.but be seperate kits. it could be a small back pack or a small waist pack that fits around your belt.like a fanny pack. i know adventure medical kits kind of has some but still i liked to see what Doug could do.
The aviator kit looks really awesome but i dont have 3 or 4 grand.haha sorry Doug

I resisted the urge for long enough and recently bought the PSP. You definitely get the value of what you paid for!

Just trying to assemble the same type of components on your own costs an arm and a leg for shipping. That has been fun, but it's also fun to plunk down the cash for something that's already 99% complete. When I think of how much I've spent on everything else I start to get a headache... <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I plan on adding at least a Photon keychain light and some MP1 water tabs.

Your suggestion that Doug create a slightly more comprehensive medium-sized kit is spot on. Something in the price point of $50-75 would be just right.

i would pay 70-90 bucks for the kit. and you know that it would be well worth the cash.i know he has suggestions for different kits, but i cant pick up half the stuff he suggest that should be in the kits.

After time and careful consideration, I bought the Pocket Survival Pak. It may have items not as important as other items; for what it is it's the cat's pajamas (the phrase is old school, I like saying it anyway).

I also purchased the pocket surviaval pack.

I would definitely be in line to purchase an URBAN pack. I am trying to develop one right now on my own.

If nothing else it would be interesting to see a list of items that Doug might suggest we add to the PSP kit beyond the items already recommended in the PSP's bonus material ... possibly in some sort of order of importance.

Of course Doug had already put together his "super aviation kit" that was fairly expensive. I don't currently see that for sale through Aeromedix.com, nor can I find mention of it on equipped.org. Maybe it is no longer available.

I think it is still available.

Edit: On a personal note I believe it is up to us to determine what items, if any, need to be added to the Pocket Survival Pak.
