That can work with a gun too. That's why, if you aren't ready and willing to use one it is best to carry a small handgun with very small sights...

i dont plan to just bust out my knife anywhere and im not going to carry it wherever i go, i let my training and skills do the work. and i wont ever plan to get a gun ,for personal reasons.
and i shouldnt of used the word coolness. the deal is im considering entering law enforcment and well you get the picture. and i have had a little knife training with a uncle. sorry if i sound rude,cause im not. but thanks all for the suggestions.

I had a friend who was a pacifist. He tried to steal my then girlfriend, a 'New Ager' who described herself as an altantean. I suppose they were a 'continent apart' which avoided unpleasantness on my part. yea but thats just me. i dont follow the rules of life. people of peace can have knives if they want. im not a knife freak i just have one true one for my bob. i wouldnt say i embrace pacifism as a religon,i just analyze diffent parts of society and create my own opinion and philosphy.i just prefer a peaceful situation before i have to engage in any fighting or a argument. im a philospher not a extreme pacifist.also a Catholic <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

No I don't. With all due respect, if it were me I would look long and hard
at the profession before I went any further. Buying a knife is not the first step into law enforcement (or any step for that matter). You need to reconcile your dogma with your professional goals and a huge dose of reality vs. the visceral appeal of Rambo Toys.

The SEAL 2000 is a nice knife and will serve you well. Check out Doug's blades. They are under hyped.

I hate to break this to you, but law enforcement officers, at least in this country, carry guns. And sometimes have to use them. Where will your "personal reasons" fit in if you should ever be in a situation requiring the use deadly force???

haha no im not making my own blade, i wouldnt know the first place to start. i remeber that movie: the hunted it was a pretty good show.
