I can't see it in a wilderness situation, except as part of the repair kit, but for urban it has a number of possibiliites. Assuming you have time- Shomer Tec used to have something like this, and it had to be babied due to the weakness of the hinge.

Has anyone ordered one yet?

Nice! Useful, as long as you don't already have a Leatherman Wave w/saw blade handy!

Good find!

Saw it the other day, seriously thinking of buying one with the razor to go with it. Looks like they would both travel well in my wallet.

Ditto re: Leatherman Wave comment, but it is nice and compact. Just the thing to bake in a pie for your favorite inmate!

Carried one in my pocket for a long time, until I lost it.
I did not think about carrying it in my wallet at the time.
I have two ordered to replace it...
I have been caring the knife version in my wallet for the last year and do not even notice it is there.

Go look at the survival kit section on Don Rearic's website. The knife version is/was part of the standard issue ejection kit.
Not a bad idea.

I don't have the countrycomm one, but I used to have something similar to it. If it's anything like mine, it's basically a standard jigsaw blade in a handle. It cuts, but I would hate to have to use it for anything larger than finger sized. I think a fine tooth metal cutting blade would be more useful for that size saw.

clever idea. the safety razor is what was standard issue in our aviator survival kits in the navy. Kind of builds on the saw blade in the SAS kits with a US flavor. I like the Allway Pocket saw

I find that the Allway pocket saw is a neat little tool that you would have no qualms about abusing in a survival situation, sort of how I view my Stanley Wonderbar II. Sometimes you may have to use a tool and leave it, like using the wonderbar to wedge open a window to escape a burning/collapsed building....If you have to use the saw to cut through something dirty, gritty or gummy, and if it makes it useless, just toss the blades afterwards and replace them later.
