Are these the original Adventure Medical style tick removers tweezers?

web page

They seem to be located here in Québec. On Countycomm they sell similar tweezers but they say they are Uncle's Sam:

Who's Uncle Bill anyway?

Thank you
Frankie

I EDC an uncle Bill's tweezers... I like it very much.

I think "Uncle Bill" is just the company name.

They're excellent tweezers. I carry them daily on my key ring and used them just the other day to remove several ticks from my dog immediately after our hike up mountain trails in the national forest.

Here's the link to the manufacturer's website. The tweezer on CountyComm are the same thing.

Sliver Grippers are one of those products that I can't find anything wrong with. They are well made and work very well. I've carried one on my keychain for over 10 years. IMO they are much better than the tweezer in the Adventure Medical kits. Those are passable, but do not have the fine point of the Uncle Bill's brand.

In addition to the one on my keychain I have one in each of my packs and in my shaving kit. I was in my local over priced hiking store and they had 5 of them marked at less than $3.00. I asked the counter "dude" if there was a mistake on the price and got one of those answers that sounded like it should have accompanied an eye roll. So I bought them all.

Thanks Paul but do you think www.slivergripper.ca is the same quality tweezers or they are a copy? I send them an email and will also try to reach El Mar to ask them about it...

As Blues said, those are the ones. I think the Canadian site must be the distributor up there. Sorry I didn't even think to look to see where you were.

Make sure you get the kind with the keychain holder and not the plastic tube. I carry one in the plastic tube in my DOP kit though.

Ok I wrote El Mar Inc.

You can be assured that the tweezers sold at the www.slivergripper.ca web site are authentic Uncle Bill's Sliver Grippers. slivergripper.ca purchases the Sliver Gripper directly from us (...)

So yes those are the real McCoy. Sometimes I think I'm a bit paranoid... Paul Winchell from his office in Québec offers direct web sales of Sliver Grippers only, that's why they are less expensive than at Lee Valley or something like that.

Thank you
Frankie
