I ran across something called Oxy-Stabile that supposedly allows you to only rotate your water every 5 years. Anyone tried this or know whether this is sound chemistry or nonsense? This seems great if it works.

I'm not certain about the Oxy-Stable product, but I'd run my water through at least a ceramic filter when pulling it from the 55 gal drum. It might seem redundant, but I don't think it would hurt.

I don't think a purifier would be necessary because it should be at least virus free when placed in the drum.
