Hi

Looking for a nice belt clip on holster to hold a cell phone, flashlight and leatherman tool.

I have seen the Nite Ize, but would like one that is a little more rugged.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

How big is your cell? If it is tiny, say about the same size as your multitool, and your flash is a shorter one, I'll share my idea.

I carry my Leatherman (with a Pocketwrench behind it) and my Streamlight Twintask L1 in a pistol mag pouch from High Speed Gear, Inc. Velcro and fastex on each lid, it isn't opening, and it is built better than the Pock-itz. They make a three-cell version as well. I went through skdtac.com for mine, and optactical.com carries them. I think lightfighter.com might as well, but forget trying to order from HSGI directly.

That being said, it LOOKS like a pistol magazine pouch to anyone who has a clue. If you want something a little softer, and/or your light and cell don't fit, the smaller belt pouches from Maxpedition are very highly thought of.

I use a surplus pistol belt (metal buckles) with a couple of ammo pouches. It's not real convenient, though. I've been looking at
http://podbelt.com/buypod.html
which is similar but has more choices on the holsters. See if that floats your boat.

I am not sure if you are interested in a custom case...not exactly inexpensive, but you can get exactly what you want. The above was made by Richard Dix to fit a Leatherman Wave, SureFire 6P, 2 CR123A batteries, and a Leatherman tool kit.

You could easily ask for a pouch for the phone, leatherman and light. This took some time and was not cheap but it is a very high quality sheath set.

Here is the back side. The three snap on loops are easy on/off and the design allows the whole thing to wrap comfortably around my side.

Because cell phones change so fast I would be tempted to make a sort of generic phone compartment, or set up a platform with a "snap on" cell case that could be remade as you rid yourself of those evil devices.

nice system, but you end up looking like a cop or security guard, that wouldn't work for most

This is my CERT kit, not daily wear. But since I always wear a vest this would be covered to avoid the cop or guard syndrome.

I cannot think of a good way to carry a phone, light and leatherman that would not need some sort of cover attire, unless a small leather zip case was used. Again I would have one made custom to have a divider set or band set inside to keep the various bits in place.

My daily belt has a radio, knife, battery case, and leatherman all in separate sheaths or carriers which works but again must be covered with the vest to look "normal".

I am so freaking jealous! Can you hint as to how much it cost?

Check the BBC line of products at www.bagdepot.com

I've bought cell phone, flashlight and mutli-tool holsters from them. Excellent quality and made in the US.

LM,

I bought this nearly 5 years ago from Dix. I am going to guess it was between $100-150, but I cannot remember. It was a modification to his triple offerings so totally custom. His leatherwork is superb and his attention to detail excellent. You can see if you look closely that he has added a stiffner at the base of the surefire so that the light cannot be activated by sitting on a seatbelt bracket or the like. The battery case was totally his design, I was expecting something like a dump pouch but this is really super.

As noted, a belt case like this would be sort of hard to wear daily but I did so for about a year until I moved to a lighter surefire and a Juice. The all-purpose Filson vest as cover.

I did not look through the Dix leather site that I linked above, but give him a call or an email to see if he can do something similar and for the prices.
