I recently noticed that band-aids can now be purchased with anti-bacterial ointment already on the pad. If you carry band-aids and a separate packet of ointment, this could save you some space and some fuss when it comes time to use them.<br><br>I chose the 3M brand over the Band-Aid and the Eckerd Store Brand because it looked like the adhesive strip was very flexible and would stay on best. After trying one out, I am very happy with the 3M, although I can't say how the others are for sure.<br><br>

I've been asked what the Ulu is I mentioned in an earlier post.This is the "woman's knife" of Arctic peoples.There are two good sources.www.theULUfactory.com makes a S/S line with a chisel edge,nicely polished(signal mirror) and inexpensive.www.ulumaker.com makes a more traditional unit out of rc-47 tool steel.The Woods site on Doug's link displays an Ulu incorporated into a modern multi tool(yeah Im getting one). Ulus aren't critical to a basic kit,but in a expanded unit worth a look.<br><br>
