What is the largest survival kit you have? Not your PSK, but your big survival kit.

The country house, with fully stocked pantry/larder, kerosene heaters, generator, plenty of guns and ammo, a deep basement, and "tight" neighbors.

I have a bug-out bag in a 40l rucksack, but I don't take it very seriously. Generally, anything above a certain size is too big to carry unless I intend to use it, so it becames a camping/hiking kit rather than a for-emergencies survival kit.

This is the size of my biggest kit. It lives in my vehicle. Just a typical Jansport daypack stuffed completely full (I'd get a bigger bag then I know I would just stuff it full also <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />).

My biggest kit is the gear I carry under the shell in my truck. I store it in two 36" X 18" X 14" hinged plastic footlockers. It includes camping and survival gear, first aid, clothing, tools, and a three day supply of food and water. It also includes a knapsack/fannypack combo in case of a feet-don't-fail-me-now scenario.

Regards, Vince

I take it you are talking about the biggest survival kit you carry on your person. If you do not carrying it then it is of no value. I also assume you are not talking about backpacking because then you are already carrying some of the best survival gear there is. That leaves hiking and day packs or fanny packs. I carry a CamelBack. I use the BlowFish, it holds 100 oz (3.13 quarts) of water and has lots of room for my survival stuff. I use the web area in the back as a trash bag while I am hiking with my family. I have 4 boys, 10, 10, 13, and 20.
