I was just going through my kits, preparing for another field season, etc. I wanted to redo my ground to air/Morse code cards (bit ratty around the edges). But since I made them back in the early 90’s, I have lost the computer file that had it on it (many computers ago), I decided to search around on the net and see if a commercial card was available. I did not find one, which is fine, since I prefer to make my own and print them out on waterproof paper anyway.
But I did notice a few discrepancies in some of the ground-air symbols that I had on my cards and what I found on the web. All my reference books in my library have the same, possibly old, codes I used on my cards. Most of my reference books are old, army and air force survival manuals, etc.
So my question is, (not trusting the net very much), can someone here point me to a reputable source in the web, or elsewhere that has the correct/current codes used by the airline industry, military and SAR?
Won’t help me much if I use the wrong codes in an emergency…
I much appreciate it,
Thanks
Brome
