<img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> As far as I know, they're great for CCW. I don't own one, nor do I really want to, but glocks in general seem to have a good rep

OK, I've never owned a gun, so I don't know what CCW means. I've had a lot of math and physics though, so it means "Counter Clock Wise" to me.

CCW simply means Concealed Carry Weapon, which in most states you need appropriate training and a license. In Idaho, the local Sheriff grants the license, after passing a qualifications course and the applicant must pass a background check. Some places require such a license for "armed" security guards and armored car carriers. Hope that answers your question.

Take care,

I used to carry a Glock 27 (the .40 version of the 26) and loved it. I'm actually thinking about getting a 26 sometime soon.

Unless it's worn to heck, get it and go shooting.

I carried a G27 daily for about a year and it was excellent for CCW. My only complaint was that it had a nasty muzzle flip which (for me) seriously hindered accuracy. I although I never owned or carried one, I have shot the G26 a couple times and the flip and overall recoil effects are muuuuuuuuuch better. I'd say if you're willing to carry a 9 for CCW then the G26 is one of the best options out there without spending $800 or more and many knowledgable folks would probably say it's among the best at any price.

Thanks for all the replies, I think I'm ready to part with my money and I'll go by at lunch and pay for it.
