This is very much the opposite philosophy of the ETS foundation, which seems to be all about having the right things to help you survive. I think this was the most interesting paragraph:

I found it quite interesting. I couldn't help but think of many gallery pics I have seen over at BCUK when the author was talking about needing a pickup truck to carry all of your "primitive" gear. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I tend to be a minimalist so I did appreciate the underlying message here. Afterall, even the most equipped person amoung us would certainly agree that it is silly to go in to the woods and spend 12 hours building an elaborate shelter simply to use for two nights in beautiful weather. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
