My Altoids tin is just a fraction too small for what I want in it but the BCB survival tin is too big. Is there a tin in between any of you know about?

I read somehwere there may be a slightly bigger altoids tin ou there.

A tobacco tin is nicer due to the seal but all the ones I have found are the same size as the BCB survival tin or smaller than the altoids.

Dimensions should be aboutt he same only a fraction wider and longer with about the same thickness.

Cheers,

Flip

Whitman's Sampler tin? I don't have one handy to measure but they are a little bigger than an Altoids tin.

You know, I saw one of those last night at CVS and thought "that looks a bit bigger than an Altoids tin".

Looks a bit taller...

Whitman's Samplers

Not sure which one he's talking about.

I believe the ones that I have are the 1.75oz gold tin sampler. Mine have a different design on the lid. If I had the gumption to dig one of them out of my BOB I'd measure one & compare to an Altoids tin.

is the sampler site... it looks like a great tin, and not too bad chocolate.

I will be experimenting with a new round tin which used to contain milk powder and is more or less air tight and waterproof. It is a milk sample tin from the milk company (they hope for me to recommend the product to my patients).

You could probably fit quite a fair bit of PSK equipment inside and have a nice compact waterproof kit which you could cook boil water in. Somthing like the 'you CAN survive' tin.

See the pictures below.
Inside is a Huntman Lite SAK for size reference:
