I have been following this as well. We are short on details. There are some odd bits that need explaining. Glad he's alive.

And glad that he found his way to workers who had been working in the area for a whole week before, up and down the road with quads etc. Right after he was picked up, the temps dropped to -30C.

We also know there was a substantial official search but it's big country. His family stayed longer and kept searching.

We know that he left his car and made a shelter, and had fire, and was eventually injured when the shelter caught fire. Obviously if he's alive after 50 days he had some survival skills.

No information on signalling efforts. I'm sure better information will emerge.

Wow! What a tale! I hope we'll get more details as time goes on.

Says got lost because he was chased by a wolf. And did have a dirt bike for atleast part of the trip.

Good info, Ren.

I get the impression he went full-on into tough, crunchy terrain. Solo. And bit off more than he could chew. (When I was 20 y/o, I may have done a bit of that, but I was careful enough to do a survey tour first, even though I was of course immortal -- in my mind haha.)

3500 hours of official search, plus family with private helos -- SAR folks said he must have been aware of the planes, helicopters and drones. Where was the signalling ????

And he retreated back to his car for a couple of days -- why didn't he leave information regarding his changes of plans and where he was headed? Frankly I wonder about his mental state as all of this went sideways.

A little more detail here. Let me know if you can't open and I'll summarize.
