In addition to the camping tool, I have a multi-tool included in The SEVENTY2.

Since the camping multi-tool already includes a can opener, I can drop the GI can opener. I can also drop the roll of duct tape.

Duct tape is pretty handy, I'd keep that if possible.

I already have that tiny roll in the PSP and the five yards in The SEVENTY2.

I guess that's not bad. In a survival kit or a day hiking kit I usually have a 5 yard flat pack of duct tape which is a useful amount. But for a kit that rides in a vehicle I like to have a full roll.

I need a system I can have on me, even if I'm walking one city block.

I think a BoB needs an explainer after it --"This is a bail out bag for x person, intended to solve y problem."
Otherwise you get a mish-mash of equipment which is a little first aid oriented, a little camping focused and a little tools/fix it oriented...

Nothing inherently wrong with that, as long as it is appropriate for the individual and the likely situation. I think that is a fairly accurate description of the bag I maintained for SAR, although it was heavier than average on first aid.

Any bag needs to be tweaked to adjust to the changing seasons, at a very minimum....
