Might as well be a good time for a reminder that any gear stowed should be anchored somehow. You don't want to survive a crash just to get hit in the head with your prep supplies. Anything stashed inside my cab is inside some sort of bag with a handle or strap that can be disconnected and reconnected after wrapping around part of the seat frame to keep it from becoming a projectile.

Yeah, riding around in my wife's truck ranks right up there in "moments of terror" department alongside sticking your hand down the garbage disposal.

You guys hit the nail on the head! The trunk was pretty full but packed well, so all that stuff was contained. I had just cleaned out my car before the trip but there was still some stuff flying around the cabin. Luckily the guns I had in the car were secured and my work laptop was stowed in a padded bag.

That was more luck than good planning!
