Predictions like this a worthless without the author providing any scientific basis for them. Even with some scientific basis, they are still usually wrong.

Seeing as how, based on predictions, the world has ended about 27 times already, I don't put much weight in predictions. Especially from unknown "authorities". Double-especially if they're from some UN agency.

I do think the risk is there. Global climate change will make agriculture more unpredictable and less bountiful as time goes on. Political upheaval and the lingering effects of the pandemic will likely affect the food supply (and of course, we can see it already has in the case of CoV-2).

No need for gloom and doom but most of us here probably see the usefulness of laying back some extra nonperishable foods and supplies.
