I had allowed my hurricane supplies to dwindle a little as I had donated last year's canned goods nearing their "use by date" to a food bank during the holidays

I decided to add some additional quantity as well as variety to the stored canned goods, just in case a voluntary quarantine was under taken... making sure those could be eaten cold if necessary

Chunky beef based soups augmented with a little par boiled rice to speed cooking and decrease need for fuel

Chunky chicken based soups with par boiled rice

baked beans with some Vienna Sausages

white beans with some canned ham

canned tuna, Spam, chunk chicken, corned beef hash, pull top fruit cup

coffee, truvia, and creamora

regards

I think I'll store some self rising flour in some quart canning jars, and work on some flat bread/bannock recipes... with the self rising you get a product without adding yeast, just some salt-oil- water....

Hey- the "vodka hand sanitizer" thingy is a no-go.. Not enough alcohol.....only 40%

You need something stronger- Rubbing alcohol, everclear, Something over 60% alcohol....

Tito's Vodka sent that out as a PSA- NOT to use Tito's for that purpose.....
