i was expecting this and got a email from NOAA to renewed my beacons
information for the next two years.
I don't do as much deep wilderness canoe trips as years past but
I do spend weeks in the back country of northern Minnesota hiking and camping in the superior national forest.you are allowed to camp anywhere without a permit and it does not have to be in a FS camp.
I drive on old logging and fire roads until they run out and walk
back into the forest to set up by a small lake or river.
as I bushwhack to get in a PLB is %100 necessary as there is no cell
phone coverage in this remote area.
