woggle I had no orange cord and needed a woggle (ASAP) for a cub scout uniform. I twisted some orange knitting yarn together to make a cord for a quick fix.
I never heard of a woggle either, but thanks for the picture - I now have the rascal identified. If you Google it, well, you can't hardly miss it.
I was a Boy Scout as a youth, and a Cub Scout den leader as an adult. I remember metal, pre-made commercial, "neckerchief slides". That's what we called 'em.
We had a very patient but demanding Scout Master. ALL the kids had to make their own woggle. All the kids had to hit a rock with their hatchet and then sharpen out the nick till shaving sharp. (Including using jewelers rouge on a strop). If breakfast dishes took till lunch to be done right, so be it.
