Reminds me of Marshal South. He had a cabin up on Ghost Mountain (Yaquitepec) in modern day Anza Borrego State Park. It was supposed to be an experiment in primitive living. But, there was a lot of controversy about it. The locals (Julian and Banner)remember him as the worlds' biggest mooch. Both of his ex-wives refused to talk about him, and only one of his kids opened up after nearly 60 years.
Bear Grylls anyone?

Solitude is refreshing, and I enjoy it -for about two weeks max. Then it is nice to return to civilization - that's where you find friends and family, cold beer, and the internet.
