Hey Paul...we just moved from Iowa!

I like the cache idea, but for our situation, we don't have friends in our new location yet. Storing things in a planned, but random location I think would be tough in California, just from a population standpoint...a lot more people going a lot more places (I'm thinking about a hidden cache in a remote location). I think here there's a greater likelihood of someone stumbling across the cache and possibly exploiting it.

That being said, I'm going to do some pondering about this and see if I could apply it to our situation.

Hope you're staying dry with the recent flooding!

Sorry to see Iowa "lost" you to someplace else!

I am still thinking it over and trying to plan on how to best use a few dollars here and there when I have them. I have added a few little things to the "car kit" and try to review and refine as I go. We're getting older and need more "stuff" to be able to get along day to day and I worry about that as well.

I think I just need to keep it simple and follow the good old Boy Scout idea of 'be prepared. Just re-certified on a bunch of Red Cross training this month and the nice thing about knowledge is it is really light weight!

Paul -
