I wouldn't say I stress my pliers, but I don't hold back on them; so strength has not been a problem. I do a fair amount of work with the needlenose; there is enough surface to use. While I'm not crimping any caps, I have occasionally found them semi-useful and not a hindrance. That portion of the plier jaws is good for holding a nail in place for hammering or holding the bail on a pot handle when camp cooking.

I also have a Charge Ti that does not have this feature, thinking maybe I'd like it better. I have found that the cap crimper doesn't bug me much, and the S30V holds an edge a bit longer than the 154CM steel on the Ti, so I've stuck with the TTi.

My EDC is a LM Juice XE6. I add a SAK eyeglass screwdriver to the corkscrew. When unfamiliar folks ask me what it is, I tell them it's the 21st Century Swiss Army Knife. I just returned it to LM due to rusting.

They were great. I had a new model XE6 sent back to me in less than a week. That's fine customer service. I've complained about LM 's response to my inquiry for a lefty Wave. But they got it right this time. The new XE6 seems to have various upgrades in tool strength & design, as well as fit & finish.

My EDC/ GHB usually has a LM Blast. I've found it to be LE acceptable even in very restrictive jurisdictions. Why is it LM discontinued such a sweet tool? Their new Rebar is nice, but no scissors. In my mostly urban use, the scissor is often employed.

My woods kit has a Wave, as does my small tool kit
