Explore schools rates.

Are there similar databases on-line for other states?

I notice the private schools have less compliance where I live.

For California
http://www.cdph.ca.gov/programs/immunize/Pages/ImmunizationLevels.aspx

It's been my observation that the inner city public schools have the best vaccination rates, followed by public schools in affluent areas, and secular private and rural schools bringing up the back. Secular private schools have the most personal belief exemptions, and rural schools have the most conditional (usually shots are not up to date, or there are incomplete or no medical records). Parochial schools are all over the map.

Vaccination rates in California preschools are even lower - http://www.latimes.com/local/california/la-me-measles-preschool-20150204-story.html

This situation is mind boggling....

Has anyone else in the forum (besides me) had measles (and mumps). Before measles vaccine, it was common to deliberately get the measles in order to become immune (for later in life). That's how I became immune to measles. Something about getting the measles out of the way so serious complications don't happen later in life.

Just chicken pox on purpose. I also had a Meningitis infection that was not by design. I was glad to see the Hib vaccine for my kids, maybe they can forgo that particular experience.

I did some googling trying to find rates for Kentucky, apparently my search foo is weak. But, I did find some information, first this study by county from 2006-2007:

here

Then I found this article which shows improvement since that study:

here

But our state is still in need of improvement according to this article:

here

I can tell you this, DS goes to a rural public school here in Kentucky, and he had to have immunizations (and records from the doctor's office) before he could enter certain grade levels at school. Could that info be faked? I suppose so, but given the hoops we had to jump through I'm fairly certain DS's school is at or close to 100% immunized.

There are no compliance requirements or documentation for vaccinations for school entry in the UK.

Across the UK the MMR vaccination rate dropped considerably after the vaccine neurological injury and death reports to around 80%. I would suspect in more affluent area's (more knowledgeable) it could range from 50-70% vaccination rate. But I am just speculating. It could be higher if the MMR (3 in 1) is being substituted for separate individual vaccines spaced out over a period of time. This would increase the number of jabs from a couple to around 4 or 5 shots compared to 50-70 shots and boosters in the USA.
I think I have been jabbed about 3 or 4 times in my lifetime.

That would be for;

i) Measles and Mumps (age that I can't remember but may also include Polio on a cube of sugar)
ii) BCG
iii) Tetanus

I have been to see a doctor about the same number of times as well
