When hiking, I just slip mine in a pants pocket. Otherwise, it lives in my EDC bag.

Starting to sound a little like a curmudgeon, old friend. The youngsters worry about us senior partners when we go out in the world, so we carry the protective gear to keep them from fretting. Carry it all the time. In truth, as the threads today show, you need to wear it at home, too, particularly in the bathroom.

So, get a lightweight vest from Duluth trading, put the plb in a ziplock, and wear it, discreetly, all the time. This is the place where the boss says "It can not save you if it is not with you". Hard to get sympathy for the notion that preparedness spoils the experience.

I carry mine in my Lifejacket Pocket or Pack/Daypack depending on how I am traveling.

I must admit that I only carry my Spot all the time and carry my PLB only when I am in remote areas and want a backup device just in case the Spot decides to fail me.
