Oh yeah, Oatmeal Stout is one of my favorites, and a great after hike beverage. Just tuck a 4 pack in a stream and like caught fish they should be chilled a ready for you when you hike out. Yum.

That's not how they're supposed to taste.

Now I look on Wikipedia and realize there's a whole faction of muesli eating world that I've missed out on for 50 years, who knew. I'm a whole oats heated and eaten with brown sugar and a splash of milk kind of guy, but for the next while I'll be experimenting with muesli recipes.

I love muesli! There are some awesome recipes out there!

Just started selling it down here. It's poorly placed amongst the Sake and not by the ciders for some reason. Came across it accidentally. Rather potent stuff. Real cider, too. Not that apple juice with grain alcohol added.

This thread is going to get me drunk. Who saw that coming from a thread about oatmeal. LOL!

Start with crumbled bacon and shredded cheese...and replace the oatmeal with grits. Make enough to have leftovers, press them into a loaf, refrigerate until the following day, slice and fry in butter. Drop a fried egg on top and serve. The oatmeal with brown or maple sugar, butter and fruit--fresh or dried--can be dessert. Forget about lunch: that should run you right up to dinner.

Before I went paleo I would eat oatmeal savory. My wife would cook it in chicken stock, then I'd add Scott's BBQ sauce and eat with plenty of Bacon. I found some really good saur kraut here in SD. I added it to the mix and found it delicious.
