I haven't seen this posted anywhere but I kind of like the ingenuity of some of the simple ways to make trail or campsites more comfortable.

I would quibble about a couple, tee tree oil doesn't seem to work on Eastern Washington ticks so much, but maybe it works in other climates with other ticks. Overall, good thought behind some of these.

I've tried a few of these things, such as stick bread and its pretty good. I like the cinnamon roll in the orange rind idea. I'm going to try it when I head out to the canyonlands and high plains this weekend. It's fun stuff, thanks for posting the article.
