I've been testing the new MSR MicroRocket stove just to see what it will and will not do. I wanted to see if it could do things beyond the basics, so...

The above omelet was prepared on an MSR MicroRocket this morning. I've got a full report on my blog: The New MSR MicroRocket -- Cooking Report. Have a look if you like.

Hey Jim. Just heard about your job situation. What a bummer. Hope you got a good severance and references for the job hunting. Things are tough for boomers - oft considered too old by some companies to take on but still too young to retire.

Unfortunately no severance. frown

Thanks for the good wishes. I will need them; it's a bit daunting.

I'm sorry to hear about that, Jim.

If you haven't read it already: Buy or borrow "What color is your parachute". Read it. I found it incredible useful when I was in a similar thight corner a while ago. I just wished I'd known about it sooner...

The web site associated with this book (job hunter's bible) is not very helpful if you haven't read the actual book.
