Summer seems to have finally arrived!!

A day out fishing, fire making and shooting. With a couple of bottles of Stella Artois, some smoke, some fish and plenty of sunshine I ended up smelling like a Kipper. grin

The location - Balmerino just down from the Abbey ruins founded in 1227 with Dundee across the water.

Looking up a small bay on the Fife side of the River Tay.

Getting a fire going, the logs were dealt with using a MOD 4 Survival Knife AKA the tree slapper.

A nice big Sea Trout...Mmmmm

An improvised air gun range...

Playing survival can sometimes be fun.. laugh

Wow, that trout was beautiful! Did it taste as good as it looked?

super photos!! a nice bit of ground to be able to "play" in..1227 for the Abbey, the fort by the Mississippi river just a few minutes away was built in 1840 something and that's old for this part of the country, and no fish in our river as nice as that--

I used to catch sea trout years ago.

Great pictures.

I hope to fly fish soon after the snow stops in the Pacific Northwest.

As a person who is not well acquainted with the wilderness, I'm curious about something. How does one cook the fish after catching one?
