I have found on a site a signal mirror and a whistle made by Victorinox. Does anyone know anything about their quality or efficiency? They are really cheap and I am almost ready to buy them. Thanks!

Maybe you could provide a link. If those are the items from the "survival kit" (black flat whistle and small onesided mirror with black platic back) then I can´t recommend them. I received a Champ with "survival kit" as a gift. All items in this kit weren´t up to the reputation of Victorinox. The whistle wasn´t too loud and the mirror was too small and is easily scratched.

I have some of their survival kit items.
The previous kits were packed with an plastic mirror which distorted easily. Their current kits come with a real glass mirror ( protected on both sides by scratch proof layer of white plastic)
If you can get the new mirror, it would be OK. If its the old plastic thing, then forget it.
Also, forget the whistle. Better to get an Acme whistle or fox whistle.

I´d say those are the items from the kit. It seems to be the plastic mirror too. I think you should not buy those items. You´d be even more disappointed.

Looks like junk. If you are having a hard time finding stuff, then go ahead and get it. I cheap mirror is better than no mirror. Just upgrade the first chance you get. At least when you throw it away, you have not lost much money.

It looks like the plastic mirror. You may want to look for a shop in your area which sells victorinox SAKs and see for yourself the survival kit and the type of mirror it is.
Don't buy the entire kit, just the parts you need. If not see if you can contact the distributor for victorinox in your area.
