miniMe,

DD&D (and HTSITW) books went out Friday 11/21/03, packed bubblewrap and paper wrapping, via USPS Media Rate ($2 & change for both in same package), ETA was indicated as being 5?-7? days not counting Sundays or Thanksgiving Holidays...will send PM. I'll be out of town for the next 2 weeks, unsure if I'll be able to check ETS or not.

Enjoy,
Comanche7

C7, did my plain brown paper wrapping cause a problem with the books?
Wanted to get them out quickly and did not take the time to find something better.

Skater,

No problems at all, actually the brown paper worked very well, the books arrived in great shape.

My thought with the bubble wrap was a result of looking at another post that suggested that plain brown paper might not be appropriate for some packages (corner protection, which is probably more of a concern for the more heavier items).

Your wrapping was completely intact, I just had the bubble wrap handy and figured corner protection might be enhanced with it. I suspect that some cardboard on the corners would also suffice.

Regards,

Thanks very much C7.
I will take a bit more time in the wrapping with the next book.

Appreciate the response.

It will definately beat watching the non-event Football games while dozing on an overdose of tryptophane.

Great read. This book is a decent compendium of stories. Most are written in a newspaper - factual style with little embellishment. Some are short on details but the shear volume of incidents included make it a worthwhile read. I found it interesting to see the development of the SAR facilities as related through these stories. From totally non-existant to dangerously over-equipped and over-relied upon.

Whoever wants it can have it now. I am done reading it and need to pass it along. I can't make out who originally donated this to the library but I would return it to original owner if no one else requests it.

PM me with shipping details and post a note here requesting it so everyone knows who has what. I will post when I ship with ETA. Thanks for the opportunity to read this book!

I thought I sent a response to this message, but I do not see it in the thread.
This was my book originally, but if no one is interested in it, feel free to keep it.
