Cost being no object, what would your EDC "wish list" look like, specifically with regard to the following. If you're already carrying your dream setup, share that as well.

1.) multi-tool
2.) small locking folder
3.) lighter (or other spark/flame producing implement)
4.) small LED flashlight

I guess mine would be:
1.) Leatherman Wave (special edition in all black)
2.) Benchmade Mini Griptilian
3.) Solo Laser Trek lighter
4.) ARC LS

1) Leatherman Juice C2
2) SAK (with corkscrew, plain blade, awl, can opener and cap-lifter and eye-glass screwdriver)
3) BIC disposible lighter (the one with a transparent body)
4) ARC AAA

It seems quite plain, but thats what suits my present lifestyle. When I finish school it will probably change a lot!

1.) Leatherman Wave
2.) Buck Crosslock
3.) BIC lighter, strike anywhere matches, small ferrocium rod
4.) Photon II white

That fits my lifestyle and I already carry it.

1) My SwissTool X
2) I'm currently carring a Buck lockback that I like alot, but I'm looking for a new one hand opener. With an unlimited budget I might go for something like a Sebenza or Strider, but realistically I'm looking at the benchmade mini griptilian and the SOG Flash I
3) Either my Zippo or a Solo Storm
4) Depends on how small. If I'm allowed to keep my PT Attitude I will, if that's too big than I'd go for an ARC AAA

- SureFire A2 Aviator w/ red LEDs
- Metal Windmill lighter (I've met people whose plastic ones have melted the lid latch)
- SAS compass (I have original ones from WW2 but don't feel they should be carried every day as they are anitiques)

1.) multi-tool
I don't know! I still carry an original leatherman, and have never bothered to replace it, as nothing has grabbed me and said "Buy this one"

2.) small locking folder
Money no object? I'd love to EDC a Lindsay engraved Lake folder (and YES, I would carry it if I could afford it!), but at 20K for a knife..... SEMI-Realistic? I can't see replacing my DC Munroe Chimera

3.) lighter (or other spark/flame producing implement)
Bic - why carry more

4.) small LED flashlight
Arc AAA on a keychaim, ARC LS in the backpack

Sounds exactly like what I carry - I'm worth it

As of today, I'm carrying a Garmin Geko 201 GPS.

Doesn't have the map facilities of the higher range models, but is good enough for emergency use. Takes 2 AAA cells, and is small enough (about the size of 1.75 Zippos) that it can be comfortably carried all the time.

I'm already carrying as close to my dream set-up as is currently available:

1) multi-tool: I'm carrying a Leatherman Wave. It is the closest to the ideal set of tools to suit my needs. If it also had an awl and tweezers, it would be perfect. I'm still not ready to give up on modifying it, myself. It's not made of the best metal, and doesn't have the best designed tools, but the right tool set is more important to me, so it will have to do.

2) small locking folder: I prefer a small fixed blade. Depending on the situation, I either carry my Busse Pepper Shaker (2.5 inch blade), or my Busse INFI Bandicoot (4 inch blade)

3) lighter (or other spark/flame producing implement): The lighter I carry can be seen, here:

http://www.budkww.com/partsview.asp?acti...p;amp;catpos=10

It takes lighter fluid (or gas, methanol, whatever), so it works better than butane lighters in extreme cold, or high altitude. It's the only lighter-fluid lighter I know of that simply doesn't leak at all. Unlike most lighters of any type, it is totally waterproof. And, even if I completely run out of lighter fluid, it still has a very usable small ferro rod built into it. It's cheap, too!

I also carry a Swedish Firesteel.

4) small LED flashlight: Swiss Light/Free Light III. Solar powered, so that it'll always be charged, and so that I'll be able to continue to use it if I need it over a multiple day situation. waterproof, shock resistant. Very nifty.

I also carry a lot of other EDC gear in my pocket survivial kit.

Let's see...assuming I'm not wearing my jacket, I carry the following:

1.) Leatherman Wave - I have to agree with the sentiments of Evolute below: it needs an awl and tweezers. I'd also like to see the inch and metric scales back on the sides, as is done on virtually every other Leatherman tool.

2.) A Victorinox 'Huntsman' SAK.

3.) A cheapie Bic lighter.

4.) A Victorinox 'Executive' SAK on my key chain - I particularly like the knife's ballpoint pen and LED flashlight.

5.) A no-name Chinese aluminum whistle on my key chain - pealess and surprisingly loud.

6.) A Browning (yes, the firearm company) LED flashlight on my key chain.

7.) A Coghlan's wrist compass on my wristwatch band.

Assuming I am wearing my jacket - like this time of year for example - I augment my EDC with the following:

8.) A Wind Storm whistle.

9.) A glass signal mirror in a padded carrying pouch - no idea who makes it, but it looks identical to the type carried by WWII American aviators, right down to the instructions on the back.

10.) A small first aid kit in a soft pouch.

11.) A windproof, waterproof butane lighter.

12.) My 'third generation' Altoid's PSK.

13.) Sometimes I'll carry a 2m/440 HT.
