There are quite a few survival videos online.

Here are some of the more extensive collections I've found, from:

- Andrew Price: 42+ topics: > 1 hour worth
- Karl Jensen: 15 topics:
- Peter Kummerfeldt: 1 topic: 5.5 minutes
- Various HowTo videos:

(3) Andrew Price: "A-Z bushcraft"

An Australian series with topics literally from A-Z:
too many for me to list - just over your mouse
over the letters on the menu bar to see the list.

I'll give the link to the one that covers signaling.
Note that Australian conventions for mobile phone
emergency numbers, and the number of blasts that
signify "help!" are different than American:

(4) Karl Jensen: Hiking Survival Tips & Techniques: Video Series
(Karl is young, but has 50 hiking videos on eHow)

1. How to Make a Hiking Survival Kit
2. How to Make a Medical Kit for Hiking
3. How to Build a Camp Fire
4. How to Find Materials for a Camp Fire
5. What to Do when you Get Lost Hiking
6. Finding your Way back when Lost Hiking
7. How to Find Shelter when Hiking
8. How to Build a Shelter when Hiking
9. How to Avoid Bad Weather when Hiking
10. How to Not Get Lost when Hiking

Here's a video from retired Air Force Academy survival training director Peter Kummerfeldt lectures/demonstrates signal mirrors
for 4:34 of this 5:28 long video clip online:

Raw video: Signaling : News : KXRM FOX 21

(6) A number of amateur videos - check the linked ones.
Various HowTo videos

A signal mirror should be backup for a 24 hr, all-weather radio distress signal, such as a 406 MHz PLB (ACR PLB)

I liked the tin can whistle.

Education is the best provision for old age.

I have no interest in or affiliation to any of the products or services I may mention. Should I ever, I will clearly state so.
