My hunting partner forgot underwear on a 10 day remote moose hunting trip, we each donated him a pair but teased him steady, then about 5 years later he did it again! He will never live it down.

I forgot extra water on a hike recently and had to cut the day trip short because of it.

My teardrop trailer is permanently packed. Even fleece and long underwear are packed in there all summer.

The only thing I fear forgetting is half-and-half or coffee.

Or dog food.

Because morning coffee is essential. And you don't watch to suddenly switch a dog's food.

And that reminds me to go ahead and put the food packing list inside the cooler, ahead of our next trip.

Yeah, I forgot dug dope once. Never again, let me tell you.

What is dug dope? This phrase only really appears on Google only twice. Once here, and once on a page showing it as gear.

No kidding. I always keep a sticky note on my camp gear that says "don't forget coffee and half-and-half!" Course, worse case scenario I could use the Folgers coffee singles and powdered creamer I keep in the kit, but it doesn't come close to the real stuff.

A couple years back on a clamming expedition in March, on the Oregon coast, I forgot my tentpoles. Remembered the tent, mind you...yeah, that's the kind of thing you only forget once.

However, while my buddies weathered in torrential rain, fighting to re-pitch their tents in heavy wind and keep leaks and ground flooding at bay, I rode the storm out in the cab of the truck. :O)

I think I have managed to forget every item at least once.
I think the worst is when you are on a multiday hike and forget something at the second or third camp then have to backtrack for it.
